Any Hifonics Amp Owners In Here?

If any of you bass heads are running Hifonics brand amps, which ones are you using? Pros/Cons? Even if you aren't using them, chime in. Looking at a Brutus BXi1606D. 1600 watts x 1. Anything comparible in that amount of power range you guys suggest?

i am running a BX1500D (i think thats the model), 1500w @ 1ohm, but im running it at 1000w @ 2.

decent clean, very powerful, and doesn't heat up much... takes a bit away from electrical, but most amps will if you're running anything near a 1000 watts..

powering 1 eclipse titanium 12.

Uh how does that help him? He asked about Hifonics. I installed a Hifonics 1500 whatever to a pair of type r 12's in a neon, sounded great, amp NEVER even got warm.

As long as you pick up the new ones (06 models ike you mentioned) you should be fine. It is well known that some amps from the past (around 2 years ago or so) benched WELL below their advertised rating, even at 14 volts.

IMHO, you would be better off finding a better USED quality amp then hifonics, thats just me though.

Ive been very happy with my Ampman Revolution 1500 for example, and I got that thing for 200 shipped to my door used. On a good eletrical its capable of running at .5 ohms daily and its underrated at 12 volts as well....

I installed a Brutus (maybe last years model rated around 1000w but I agree with the statement above as I'm not convinced it is reeally putting that out) pushing 2 Infinity Kappa Perfect 12s and it sounds pretty good. He's been running that system for about a year now with no issues.

Yesterday I put a Hifonics Zeus ZX7500 in a guys Tahoe, pushing 2 audiobahn 12's in a pro box. Like nismos14 said, amp never got warm even in damn near 100 degree weather. Just give the amp good air flow and it should be fine.

i run Hifonics Brutus 1800d 1800 watts @ 1 ohm, amp is built tough, but i dont think that it puts out what it says. i think i saw a benchtest thread on another forum, the 1500 puts out about 1250 and the 1800 puts about 1650
