Bose Amp Questions....For The Experts ;)

Im asking these questions for my friend....

He is curious about the specs for the rear Bose amps (crossover point/watts)

What if he decides to purchase tweeters, how would my friend go about installing these with the Bose amps?

He currently has an active 3 way system (via Alpine 9835 H/U) and wanted to go 4 way without adding another amp (he currently has 2 amps).

thank you

Bose speakers run at 1ohm. Good luck finding speakers that do that.

If you want to replace the speakers with aftermarket, you cannot run them off the Bose amp.

aftermarket tweets off the amp, so of course the reverse would be included.

Is it possible to wire an aftermarket HU straight to the speakers and get rid of the oem garbage?

I just bought a 98 max se (doesnt say bose anywhere but it looks like the bose HU) with only the 4 speakers being aftermarket. I figured all i had to do was wire up my AM HU so i did and theres no sound. I dont want to buy any adapters so could anyone kindly tell what id have to remove and rewire?

BTW I have experience wiring honda stereos so I dont know anything about nissan audio systems

Yea, you would have to run new speaker wire. OR use jumper wires to bypass the amp.

exactly, you need to bypass the Blose amplifiers if you want to redo the entire setup. Once you figure out which wires go to which speakers, it's pretty easy.

I did this in my old '90 Maxima and couldn't believe the sound quality difference!

I know the schematic for the Headunit wiring so i guess the wire colors should be the same although knowing nissan theyre a little retarded when it comes to car interiors and trannys

I just dont know what it else it consists of and where the amp is or how many amps there are? Sorry i kinda dont have the car at moment and just found out theres so much to this system

The amps are in your doors at each speaker.
