The amp powers on you see the green light.The thermal light, and the low voltage dont come on, but i get no sound out of the amp all the wires are fine because i just took them off of my alpine amp today that worked great so i know its not that. Any ideas what the problem could be ? Im guessing something wrong with the amp it self but why is it not going into protection mode

of course lol this was my friends amp... he said he was driving home one day and he hit a bump and it just stopped working. So he gave it to me i sent it back to jl and they said the amp works fine. So obviously they didnt test it they just checked the protection lights, so im stumped.

Do you have all the inputs wired correctly? Switches set correctly? Send it back to Just Lousy again!

you mean low or high ? its set to low.

No, the JL amps have an auto turn on signal. Check if it's set for auto signal, or if it's set for a remote turn on wire.

i dont see anything about the JL amp having an auto turn on signal. I lookd through the manual and i dont see anything maybe im just overlooking it. Where should i be looking ?

i just talked to jl AUDIO i sweet talked them into covering the amp at no charge. Gonna get the receipt and send it out.
