Amp Question All Welcome with their 2cents

Ok I am going to get an amp and a sub soon, so the first and foremost part is i need help from some experienced people like you guys! So I was wondering on amps, and these are the only ones i am considering, so unless you have one close to these specs please don't post other's. Ok here it goes. Bassicly I need one capable of 1000w rms.

PHOENIX GOLD X1200.1 ($440) vs. Alpine MRD-M1005 ($340) vs. Rockford Fosgate Type RF X7.A 1500W Mono ($400)

All the prices are what I can get them for so dont be saying like that dosent cost that! Whatever you see is with what i can play.

Also what type of cap do i need, since these will run 1 sub only, so is 1 farrad cap enough in a maxima with these amps or do i need 2 or 3 farrad?

Basically caps are not necessary unless you have a serious system pushing over 3k watts. You also would need a HO alternator as the stock alternator will stress itself out trying to maintain the car, battery, and supply the system with the neccesary power for the audio equipment and then it'll have to recharge a cap. I feel that caps are useless due to the fact that it'll stress out your charging system. I have been running a solid 2000watts to my Solobarics and never had a battery or alternator problem for almost a solid year. Just have good grounds, do the Big 3, and a nice battery is all that's needed. You really don't need a cap but it's mainly a thing to have for show. If anything buy a HO alternator and you shouldn't have anything to worry about concerning your charging system.

The amp only makes half your system also. You can have a banging amp and some crappy subs and be blown out of the water or you can have a nicely paired sub and amp combo. Me I have a cheap 2400watt Legacy amp but they get the job done on my S12L5's. The bass is clean and very deep and loud. Before I got a nice deal on this amp (50 shipped) I had a 1600watt sony amp and it didn't compare at all to the Legacy. Considering the price for the SOny and the Price for the legacy the sony should have been far better but it wasn't and it had actually sucked compared to the Legacy. Look at subs first then pair it up with a good amp. Of course that is my opinion and this is your money.

my vote goes to alpine. they make pretty good quality stuff i havent ever been in a car with one of their amps though.

i've been in a few cars that had PHOENIX Gold quipment and it sounded a little werid to me and i just plain dont like my fosgate amp so i took it out.

the sub i want is a Alpine X 12" and i am still looking at others but this fits the bill, not sure on sealed or ported box yet. however i allrerady have an amp aso i will be putting another one in, so in essence i will have 250-300 watts rms in speaker power and 800-1200 rms in sub power. So i am thinking it's a decent system that might require a cap. What kind of HD alternators does a maxima take? i really dont want to mess with the electrical system that much, i mean i will have thats wattage but its not like i will always be cranked up, so dont know if my stock system will hold up?
