530t making windows slow.... WTF

I have the viper 791 and two 530t window control modules... now iv had this for about a year now.. what i have noticed that the windows are getting a bit slow... i have oiled the track and they have a hard time going back up... is this normal.. i have a positive directly connected to the batttery for both modules...

what can be causing this?

My windows, especially the front passenger, have been very slow the past 2 years, completely stock without 530T's. It sucks @ss.

Windows are notoriously slow. Use some silicone spray in the tracks and the sweeper at the base. They say grounding kits help.

Ive been at idle while rolling all 4 up at the same time, when my passenger front has completely stopped. But the cost of new motors > me.

Thought of that, but I need to find out if an 03 motor would be the same as an 00. Im not about to waste my money on another 00 motor and have it be slow again...well, slower than a newer 03 one. Anyone know the answer to this?

Clean the windows, a little steel wool will help, clean/replace the sweeper and lube the **** outta em.

To the OP...what gauge wire is used? How is it grounded? What setting is it on?

all the wire is 12 awg... i have it grounded by the passanger kick panel.. the settings are factory.. but arent those just for how much resistance it takes for the window to stop if it encounters something... i think that the wires to the motors are at least 14 (they are stock)

No, thats how much current it uses to push them up and down. You ran 4 runs of 12Awg into each door?

Overkill for the switch portion, shoulda only been 18Awg, but I dont think that would matter. Check your grounding, then the motors.

well i bought the silicone spray ($2.89 at advance autoparts) and cleaned the tracks it works great.. i measured the voltage across the motor with the car off it was 10.xx volts when the window was going up.. than after i cleaned and sprayed it it was like 12.85.. big difference..
