WHATTF: Help required....Replacing BOSE Head Unit
Okay so I decided to get rid of my bose head unit and keep the speakers. I got the pac adapter and the steering wheel control adapter. So anyway, I connected all the wires in the PAC and the head unit harness...my head unit is an indash dvd system so it has two power wires (yellow) a red ignition and then two grounds. I doubled the yellow wires off the head unit and doubled the grounds as well as added the power wire for the steering wheel adapter to the red wire off the pac. So I may have over loaded it. I thought it might be okay, I guess I was wrong. So anyway, it didn't work. I started checking wires and everything was fine. Connected my head unit to a computer psu to check it, it powers on fine. So now Im thinking its something with the car. The bose head unit will not power on now when I plug just it in. I checked the fuse under the hood and it was good. So why isnt my harness at the back of my head unit getting power? Also, all of PACs wires are correct too right? I had an adapter for a nissan that had errors once before...reason I ask is because I hooked the computer psu up to the head unit in my car, it powered on, but would not produce sound, so the amps aren't on for the bose system. I connected the all blue wire to all blue wire in PAC. Just any ideas would be good....I'll fiddle more, but im stuck for the moment. Also....my driver side window wouldnt go up for a while..I turned everything off and came back and it finally did..donno if that indicates anything else that might locate the problem. Thanks for your help.

Which one is that? I looked in the fuse block but I was having a hard time determining which one that was. Is it located somewhere else besides the block? My car is a 2002 btw, forgot to mention that in my first post. It almost has to be a fuse, wouldn't you all guess? And thank you dj you're always quick to lend your help. You've guided me through a lot of my audio so far!

Right, the plate that pulls off with the diagram on the reverse side of the plate...and a fuse puller deal stuck in the center of it. I found it, theres just not a fuse designated as audio fuse on it that I could see. Thanks again

Found teh fuse....combination of an inline and a bad ground. So all of the wiring is fine now....wish I'd figured that out before I ripped my wiring job apart....now its all messy ;/ so gotta fix that now haha.
Anyway.....HOW DO YOU GET THE SCREWs OUT OF THE BOSE HU? I've busted a rachet and two philips heads so far.....those buggers are tight man.
