in the middle of wiring headunit to bose...help!

ok, im following kpr10is's directions from the how to area...basically i wire RCA's to the wiring harness, then plug them into the cd deck. my question is this: i just stripped an RCA wire and there is another white wire inside...does it matter if i cut it off or do i have to carefully strip that one too?

i tryed to get a picture but it wont let me upload it to the computerr

Theres only two conductors..the center and the shielding. The center goes to positive speaker lead and the shielding goes to the negative.

Host the pic on your cardomain page and the link within the tags..

thanks for the reply.

but let me get this right, the little wire inside the big wire goes to the negative, and then the bigger wire goes to the positive? if this is correct, my next question= the negative wire on the harness is the one with the black line right?

i just stripped all the wires and grouped em all together, and i got zero zip from my speakers...so im guessing i did somethin wrong...il try to take pictures and get em up here but not promising anything cause the program isnt workin right...

nooooooooo EACH set of speaker leads gets one RCA lead. Do Not put them together like that.

Total you should end up with four RCA leads. Two for front, two for rear.

i group the 2 purple together, the 2 green together, the 2 grey together, and the 2 white together right?

the blues are going to the right side, and the clear are going to the left side

No. No two speaker leads should be connected to each other.

IE: White ~> center core of RCA
White/Black ~> Shielding

Each other color should be done the same.
