anyone have a high output alternator?

So my alternator keeled over and died the other night. I figured that if the high output was only a little bit more, I might as well get one. Where do I find these? What (physical) size do I need? I know the stock for a 5th gen is 110 amps, and I only run a 4 channel amp bridged to Rainbow comps so I really don't need one, but I figured since I have to get a new one a little extra juice can't hurt. Thanks for the help.

I would just get a good new oem one. Add a ground kit. Buy a good battery. Maybe add a REAL 1-3farad cap(technically they should work even tho most think they don't).

if all you're running is 1 4 channel amp, you don't need anything but a new oem alt. HO alts are only needed for people pulling more amperage than the stock alt puts out. hell, a lot of people on here are running 2 or 3 amps with the stock alt. upgrade your grounding (big 3) if your lights dim, but i doubt they even do that now, do they?

No, lights don't dim.

I just took it to a shop that rebuilds them. They said they only reuse the case and replace all the internals-$130.

Dave B. was $215 plus a few for shipping.

Checker was like $175-so $45 is enough difference for me. If it last only 50k miles this time, I probably won't have the car anymore.
