Pics of double din or the eclipse 6.5 navi in a 5th gen
Does any one have pics of this??
Im thinking of buying the 6.5 eclipse navi double din unit.
I want to know how it looks in a 5th gen , im haveing second thoughts on buying it cause i realy like the way the dash flows with the stock hu, and wonder how a double din would look.

Wait til djfrestyl chimes in, hes got a pic from his but its some gh3y rutgers url that I dont feel like searching for
The stock Nissan double din is oversized, so there is a gap on either the top or bottom depending on the unit and its mounting. Since the older AVN5435 didnt come with a trim ring, iirc djfrestyl used ABS plastic to fill in the gap in his, and using the stock mounting holes it leaves a decent sized gap at the top. With the AVN6600 the gap is a little smaller and at the bottom instead, again if you use the stock mounting holes. The AVN6600 (and possibly 5500, im not sure) come with a large, thin, somewhat flimsy trim ring that you could cut down and glue to the GXE dash kit, which if you then redrilled the bracketing to center the unit, itd look pretty clean in my opinion, but I havent seen it done yet. burnurass also just recently got the AVN6600, so you can try searching for his thread too.
