If a dvc sub woofer has X amount of peak power, and X amount of peak power per coil are they saying that the two coils can be "bridged" in order to obtain the peak power?
I currently have a 2ch amp bridge to 1ch and powering a single voice coil sub, and I have to change my sub for various reasons. This certain brand of subs I'm interested in seems to make a better/stronger quality dvc over their svc, but both the dvc and svc will meet my desire in what I'm looking for.
Will the dvc sound better (power and quality) if I used my 2ch amp to power both coils, or if bridging of the coils is possible, power it with my bridged amp.
I realize that the peak and rms of both amp and sub will have a-lot to do with power/quality, but I'm more curious to know if a dvc can be bridged into one. Also what are the pros and cons of using a 2 or a 4 ohm sub.
THE END, if this makes any sense.
