New Yellow Top, but have problems with install

Wassup well i just bought a new yellow top battery a couple days ago and ran into some problems with the install...the new battery has the terminals closer to the front of the car instead of the other way (like the OEM one) so as a result the positive cable does not reach all the way because of the L-shaped curve it has....i bought an extending cable for now cause i need to drive the car but is there a way to make this look better and work the rigtht way? (the extension cable is a lower ga than oem) I figure i need a batter terminal of some kind any suggestions?? i've seen Metal Max's battery and saw that he separated the pos cables to the side posts...but i dont know how he extended the wire that far. any help? thanks!

I have 2000 and I bought a yellow top on 9-10-06. I basically had to force the L shape to the side with alittle elbow grease and it fits really tight but its on an angle. I really dont see and improvement compared to my old die hard. I have a 800 rms system and I am still experiencing dimming when I hit deep cycles when the radio plays.

I thought that yellow tops were for those that wanted to play systems while they were off.

When the car is running, the power is drawn from only the alternator. When the alternator is unable to maintain the amperage needed for the vehicle, then does energy become drawn from the battery.
