Want to upgrade from Kappa Perfects 12.1

I finally want to upgrade from the 2 Perfects that I have. What speakers would be a good upgrade from them. I prefer sq over spl but would like to have a decent amount of it. My system consist of an Eclipse 8445 headunit, a pair of mtx txc6.1's in the front and rainbows sl165's in the rear. The front and backs are powered by an orion 8004, the subs are powered by an mtx 81000d. Max price range for the pair would be around $800-$900. Also prefer them to be in a small sealed box. Advice from anyone who upgraded from these speakers or referenced them against others would be appreciated. Was thinking about the Arc Flatlines, how do the stack up against the Perfects?

that is blasphomy comparing Flatlines to Perfects. And you should be flogged for doing so. But yes the flatlines would be a excellent choice or the Alumpro RX

Thanks for the replies. Will talk to Don about a pair soon. How are the rainbow subs? After hearing the sl165's (in my 4th gen max), I am interested in how their subs sound. For the price, the sl165's sound very good, better than the type r, kappa, and polk db9's(all 6x9's by the way) that i used in my 3rd gen max.

The Rainbow Profi/ProfiVanadiums are probably the best SQ subs Ive ever owned/used/played with. They can handle substantial power, will get quite loud and maintain composure while doing it all. But all that comes with a hefty price tag..

Hefty price tag? Sound like they are out of the $900 per pair range. What would you advise me to get around that range. Oh yeah, are the rainbows that far from this range?

No not at all, actually they are available within-under that price range. It was just a broad comment regarding their price, not towards you directly.

I think treating yourself to them would bring quite a large smile to your face.
