Touch screen, and a few guage pods

For some reason I have never noticed this section of the forums.

Here is what I made for my car. Had to make the radio bezel to fit the Kenwood touch screen Navi setup.
Also in the shot are some of the guage pods I made to keep an eye on the motor. Center dash is painted to match the body color of the car from the ac controls all the way up to the 3 guages up top.

Know to build a box and amp board.

Boosted? Oh Yes... very much so.
Guages from left to right.
Wide band, J&S Knock competer, Fuel pressure, Boost, EGT

I was trying to make it as factory as possible. Most people get in my car and have bo idea of what has been done. I like that.

You would be surprised. Except if they really know a Maxima. The three over the the ac vents were meant to look like the 350z (kinda) and yes the one over the steering column stuck out way too much so I am actually movin it to were the J&S unit is and John from J&S is making me a single LED to warn me of knock that I will mound the insturment cluster.

You know to tell the truth, I'm not really feeling it inside there. No offense LatinMax, what you've done is great and took a fair amount of work I'm sure, and it's better than anything I can do. But the gauges behind the wheel feel cramped and the ones above the AC, just not feeling the corner molding on them.

And I too wish I had some excuse to have gauges XD I have a CAI? Maybe I'll get some AF Gauges, like three...and tell people its really important

I respect your opinion. Cramped? Sure anything beyond factory is going to be cramped... the car was not designed to have all those gauges, but it wasn't designed to have 300+ hp either. So it is all relative i guess. I just did not want the normal A pillar gauge pod that screamed "look at me" and tryied to do something alittle more along the lines of the car.

Thanks for the comments.

Yeah, thanks for the respect, I know some people who don't take opinions well and I was a little hesitant to give my 0.02, I understand where your coming from with the pillar gauges, they've become pretty mainstream especially after being mainstreamed by the media (fast and the furious anyone?)

Something I think that would work really well in our cars is something along the lines of who Mitsubishi did their Evo's, using a single din for 3 gauges, Your using a Kenwood Navi i see, that should have the functionality of the unit below it? you could always use that space. Thoughts?
