System Help ASAP!
Hey everybody, been on the site for a while just browsing around. First off these cars are incredible (2001 Max AE). I'm half way through adding my sub/amp. I have a JL 12w6v2 in a custom slot ported enclosure with a 500watt Alpine V12 digital amp. I'm going to use the PAC OEM NIS2 to hook it up with the factory radio/speakers. Here's where I need advice..
Should I leave the stock bose sub and amp hooked up or disconnect it? I think it would be pointless but maybe it will help the sound blend? Lets have some opinions. Thanks!

Thanks for the info. I've been reading posts on this site for months now, especially the audio section because thats my hobby. I'm new to the maxima, i've been driving american cars. I had my car ripped apart and needed some advice in a hurry. Unfortunately I couldn't start a thread becuase I had no post count. So if you want to ban me go for it, but i did't simply reply to threads with cool, yea, or any b.s. I looked for threads that were interesting and thought i might be able to add some insight or pay a compliment.
Just FYI that if it were any other forum besides audio, you wouldve already been banned. No big deal though.
You dont need the PAC adapter to add the amp. Assuming you pull out the Bose sub, and its attached amp, Id suggest splicing RCA's directly into the stock speaker wire. The bose head unit is a low level unamplified signal already, so no adapters are needed. You can get a cheap short set of male-male RCA's from anywhere, and splice them into the stock speaker wire, which will give you a full range signal going to the amp, then use the amp's crossover to tune the sub. Not only will this save you a bunch of money but itll work as well if not better than any adapters.
