Okay so my rear bose speakers finally blew and I decided to get rid of the entire system. I am thinking about getting a Pioneer DEH-P6800MP headunit but im still not sure what speakers to get. Im trying to not go above $300 for 4 speakers so do you guys have any suggestions on what speakers I should get? I was looking at some Infinity Reference 6012si speakers but some of the reviews said they lacked bass so im leaning away from them now. Any suggestions are appreciated, thanks.
The shop number is 732-572-1969. Give him a ring. If he doesnt answer it probably means he is under the dash of a car, so leave a message and he will return your call.
96 B-rad: They are $230 a pair, for the front components. The rear coaxials are $120ish.

I haven't heard them myself, so I can't say, but people rave about the sound quality. I'm not so sure you're gonna get much bass response out of any 6.5" speaker though. Unless you mean mid-bass. For bass, obviously you'd want a sub. =)
I think 6.5" speakers tend to roll off around 80-100Hz, or at least are crossed over (high-pass) around there. I'm not 100% sure though. I have my a/d/s components set to roll off at 100Hz with a 12db slope. Any lower and the sound tends to get a bit "muddy". But I have a 10" sub, so it all works out.
