PAC AOEM-NIS2 Problems...

Here's my setup. 2001 Max w/bose. I have the stock single cd player and speakers. I purchase the pac aoem nis 2 and used it to hook up an alpine amp and JL sub. I ran the remote wire to the trunk off the remote wire connected to the adapter.

The amp turns on and sounds great when the radio is playing, when i switch to the cd player the amp shuts down. I used a test light on the remote wire connection at the amp. It's lighting up when the radio is on but shutting down when i try to play cd's.

Is the adapter screwed up? Did i do something wrong? I already have the remote wire run from behind the head unit to the trunk. Should i just abandon that and tap into a remote turn on somewhere else? Can somebody tell me where and what color wire i should tap into (if this is what i need to do) Sorry for all the questions but i'm getting frustrated. I spent hours installing this stuff in the cold and i want bass!

Your remote wire is hooked up to the power antenna output from the radio. Tap into the amp turn on, or the accessory power, and youll be fine.

Why does the pac adaptor have a remote wire hanging from it that only functions with the radio? Seems strange.
