Double Din or 1-din monitor?

hey guys,
I am turning 18 this upcoming friday, and my parents are going to get me something for my maxima ....
I want a flip out screen so badly, i've always wanted one...But i can not decide if i want FLIP OUT one, or like double din screen.....I understand that double din screens are more attractive to "people who like to steal" while on the other hand, they really cant see that i have Flip Out screen, if my screen is IN, when I shut the car off......
also what do u guys think about JENSEN brand?
thanks a lot
Huso

Get a double din and an alarm system. They look much better in your dash when installed well, and you wont have to worry about motors going out on you if you plan on keeping the unit a while, not to mention the install is easier without a separate brain, which most decent units have (aside from either high end like eclipse or garbage like jensen).

If you want a Jensen let me know, you can Paypal me the few hundred bucks and Ill take a sh|t, mold it into the shape of a screen, and send it out to you. Hope that gives you an idea.

IVA-W200 if you can get it with a discount somewhere!

not too expensive

and double din is perfect in 5th gens, like said above, the screen is on a perfect angle so no need to use the motor to adjust it, or close it if you had a single din.

stay away from jensen, add some money to whatever your parents are giving you and get something nicer, you won't regret it.

Well I am one of those guys people talk to from Circuit City. Ive been there 3 years, and more Jensen head units, whether screens or not, have come back with problems than ALL our other brands combined. Google is your friend, search for some online reviews, there are plenty out there.

You can get the GXE kit for ~95 bucks from Dave Burnette at Southpoint Nissan in Texas. For double dins, go GXE kit or dont go at all.

aside from problems, the screen quality of a jensen vs an alpine or eclipse etc. is night and day. if you were to see one set up next to a reputable brand's screen, theres just no comparison. Jensen is just awful, please dont waste your money..
