I need a new head and want mp3 compatablity but most of the players that are out right now are either too expensive, dont have the features I need, or both. Does anyone know if Pioneer is gonna jump on the bandwagon and make an Mp3/cd player? Since I have over 5000 mp3s, this is ideal. Also, has anyone heard about an MP3/cd changer??

Too expensive? You think Pioneers, or the changer, would be cheap? Not to give you a hard time, but thats the way it is with "newer" technology.

If you want to make a compromise, buy a JVC SH99 for about 300, it has 3 4v preouts, motorized [some like, some dont] metal face, detachable, and pretty clean output.

I forked out almost 500 for my exelon z828, because I didn't wanna take the risk on a JVC motorized (more prone to breaking?) faceplate, or the JVC name. Thats all personal experience tho, and is up to you. But as for pricetag.. sorry, thats the way it goes. I've got more than 5000 mp3s, so its worth it.

As for changers, the only one i know of is the Fosgate one, which doesnt use CDR's, which makes it near useless.

I've been payin a lot of attn to the mp3 hu's, if you tell me which features you want, and which you dont need, ill try to suggest something. But based on price tag alone, get either the Kenwood KDC8017, or the JVC Digifine SH99, for a lil more.
