volume **** on 97 bose hu

I am in the process of selling my car and today the volume **** completely quit working on my bose headunit in my 97 max, and chance for any easy fix as I would prefer not to replace the headunit since the guy is coming on the 3rd of january to get the car, any help would be great

update, I took the radio apart and cleaned the contacts and now the volume **** works just fine.
