Sad news...

One of our fellow members suffered the loss of his wife today. Member as we know him is: Marquies-kublmax. An unexpected brain Aneurysm brought her to the hospital and eventually pronounced deceased at 3:30am this morning. At a young 29 this of course came as shock to me and to the extent I literally could not believe the words coming over the phone as they were told to me. Shannon, Marquie's wife has left behind two children-Myles (8) and Jada (4) I am making a very close guesstimate to ages, but still nonetheless two young children also suffered from this loss.

In my humble opinion this could not have happened to a happier, kinder, unselfish family. I have been Very good friends with Marquies and his family for quite some time now and know them very well. Despite the fact that he lives in Kansas he has visitied out here and even opened his doors and welcomed me in for the weekend I spent there for world finals. Typically for a single man that made friends with someone via the internet? Sure, but to completely open up and expose an entire family to a 'stranger'? Thats certainly going the extra mile and showing Alot of kindness and warmth.
To furthermore stress how giving she/they were Shannon was also a surrogate mother for twins. This is your typical well natured church going family to say the least. No alchohol,no smoking, just all around honest to goodness people.

I would also at this time like to take up a collection to send flowers/condoloences to him and his family. If any of you would like to contribute you can Paypal me at: Imsarcastik@aol.com Most of you will notice this is not my normal paypal address. This is being used for this purpose and this purpose only to seperate from current funds going in/out of my account. Any and all ideas are welcomed and if anyone would like to talk to me feel free to email,pm or call.

Some may ask...Why are you posting this here? Well its quite simple..Marquies had a love for his Maxima, but more for Audio/Video/electronics in general. A passion that he has had for quite sometime and Im sure will continue with him as well. Not to mention many of us here knew him.

Where do i start??......I just got back from the hospital about an hour ago...Marquies is......... well........you know the best that he can be for the loss of his best friend and wife. I spent much of my afternoon talking with him yesterday over lunch....what and where he was going with his car and what the next step was for him to take finals this season. He always talked highly of his wife and always made sure that she was taken care of in all departments....I,my wife and family are all in dismay over his loss, please understand that not only did Marquise devote his spare time to this sport/hobby but his wife and children were the back bone and support that are truley his insperation!!!!! Marquise.....brother....FREIND......I Love you and i am sorry for your loss.....

Please take time and think about this....HERE TODAY........GONE TODAY!!!!!!.........there may be no tommorrow!....What would you do different????

God Bless! and sorry for the long post!

Wow. That is so sad, and unfortunately I also know how it feels to lose someone suddenly, but in no way am I trying to lessen the significace by relating to it. Quite honeslty losing a loved one is a terrible thing enough to experience either way.

I just wanted to say that although I dont know Marquies, he sounds like a great person and I am terribly sorry to hear about his loss. It will obviously be incredibly though for a while, which is exatly why he is lucky to have friends like you guys, and I really couldn't help but post and compliment you guys for being so supportive. I'm still semi-new to the forum and everyday I'm amazed by how close knit you all are and I think thats great.

Again, i'm sorry to hear about it, and at the same time very impressed by the response and kindness of you guys that are here for a friend in need.

Marquies, you have family here, and with their help you can make it through this. God bless you and your family.

Oh my god, I'm shocked by this unfortunate news. I haven't been on the org in a while, and on my first visit back, this is what I come across. I can't express enough my condolences to Marquise and his family.

Marquise: I know that this is a tragedy that will shake you to your core, but I hope that with the help of your friends, around you and here on the org, you will be able to continue on. I will make sure that I send out prayers for you and your family, and I will ask others to do the same. God bless.

RIP Shannon.

I am in shock. It's always difficult when someone leaves us so suddenly. The pain may never subside, but your heart will always hold that person. I hope and pray that all of you are doing well, as well as you can be anyway. Very very sorry to hear this.

My condolences to you kublmax. I am single, but have 15 neices and nephews (ages newborn-12). I truely feel for your loss and wish you and your kids the very best in this hard time.

I know when my a good friend (my hockey coach for 4 years) died, we donated money (in lieu of flowers) toward a college fund for the kids-I know it wasn't much, but every little bit was appreciated and helped out.

Well where does one start. Thank you all so very much for your prayer and support. I really need it. At this exact moment I am doing ok. But is sways like the wind. I never thought I would have to say good bye to my soul mate. Shannon has been my inspiration in everything that I do. I have a long road ahead of me, but through the grace of GOD I can get through this. I just wanted to say thank you to you all.

I almost never drop into the ICE forum and when I do today and see that such a terrible loss has taken place it puts a gray cloud over the evening. My thoughts and prayers go out to Marquise and his children with the hope that with the help of God, his friends and family he will find meaning in such a tragic loss. Don't lose hope, and know that you will be reunited one day. Best wishes,
Josh

Marquise,

Please know that you definately have family here. Lean on us to get through this.

I don't know you (albeit one pm), but I am struck so tenderly by your loss. My prayers are with you and your precious gifts, Your's and Shannon's Children. I am so truely sorry! Words seem so menial now, so failing. Please know that I offer my all to you. My family and I grieve your loss that you feel now.

You will be in our thoughts and limitless prayers,

Praying for you a security in your grief and a wholeness in your healing,

Trish and Family

Marquies - Reading this thread has brought me almost to the point of tears. I cannot imagine losing somebody that close and without any warning. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. As others have said, your wife will live on in your memories, and she will always watch over you and your children. And if any positive can come from this, know that she will never suffer any sort of pain again.

My sincerest condolences...

One again thank you all for your thoughts and prayers it is helping me through this time. I just ask that those of you who are married and or have kids. Love them harder, hug them longer, focus on the good times becasue you never know when you or them will take their last breath. That is the one thing that gives me some peace. My wife and I have a very strong relationship and we cherished every moment we had together. So focus on the good thinks and keep God close in your lives and all will be well.
