problem with id12d4 v3

hey maybe one of you guys can help me. i put in an id12d4 v3 off a kicker zx700.5 (sub channel is 210at 4ohm 420 at 2ohm) wired it to 2 ohm. now it sounds clear. but with the eq set flat and the bass boost set to low the sub BARELY hits. i honestly had to keep turning the sub off to tell if it was even on. i can get it to hit if i crank the volume up to about 3/4th and turn the bass boost up to 3/4th with the eq on super bass. now it sounds like its distorting but the mirrors are just barely rattling. now that doesnt sound right to me.. its in a custom 1.33sqf box (wider than deeper) wired both positive terminals together, and negative like wise. i look at the sub and its barely moving. i would say my component door speakers are kicking off more bass than the sub. i have the crossovers at 80hz lp/ 80hz hp i tried adjusting the xovers. i have played the sub for about 7 hours now. befor i tried to get it to sound right...

Make sure that your gains are set correctly....

Also, after doing this, reverse the phase on the sub to see if it blends in a little better with the rest of your system.

hmm double checked the polarity, looks right. but the sub barely moves, i tried to set the gains with a voltometer set it to ac and all i got was 5.9 volts ... if the math was right it should be like 29 volts. i tried swaping to the rear rca and still no diffrent. (might not be useing the voltometer right) so i set the gain to 60-70% you think the amp is just bad? should i try someone else amp or something?

The 29v figure is correct...... What HU do you have? If the preout voltage is low, it may be the reason why you need to turn the gains up that high.

pioneer primier p770mp 4volts the doors i have on 50% gain, they sound perfect but also i get 1.5 volts off the volt meter on the doors. eh i think i failed and i just need to have someone look at it. i checked the sub to make sure it wasnt blown, if it was i wouldnt see 4.2 ohms resistance on the both coils right?

How exactly do you have the sub wired, are you sure you didn't accidently wire it up wrong?

And how is it connected to the amp?

How do you have the crossovers set on the sub channel?

Is the subsonic filter on?

What kind of box?

Do you have a friend that you can try it in his car? Or another amp to test out?

i have a sealed box 1.33 sqf (its longer than deeper.) perfectly sealed. i have it wired with 12 guage speaker wire positive on amp to both positives on sub, negative likewise. i have a buddy that has a 300x2 at 2 ohm amp going to try hooking it up to his amp, just back the two cars together and use a long piece of speaker wire. he even says just 1one of his mtx's at 300 rms is hiting 3x harder than myn. so ill let you guys know how that goes. hopefully its just the amp, this is a replacement amp because the last one blew a few days after install for no reason. i checked grounding and voltage, i had good ohm resistance off the ground wire back to the battery.

(first amp worked fine, till she drove off listening to reggatones) she says she started the car and the car died, (clock reset) she started up the car and it works fine now, bass hits clean and hard. last time she says the started it in the morning and the amp just blew. now im siting here going whats wrong with the car or whats wrong with reggatones...... im really confused.
