Ok so i returned my 3900 pioneer cause i didn't like the button layout. Every time i wanted to change tracks i would hit the volume button. it would be great if their volume **** was a push in/ push out type. but the button was small and i was annoyed.

I have the credit on crutchfield right now and i told them i wanted to try another unit. I saw the CDA-9881 in person and in a store, played with it and i enjoyed the buttons and overall feel. Compared it to the other alpines and well the higher end models dont have anything that i would need or want extra. But i liked the darker face look on the higher end units. I noticed that the picture for the 83 unit is a lot darker and only $20 more on crutchfield but no stockie.

Just wondering if anyone had experiences with the newer alpines, when the CDA-9883 is expected to be out ( apline site says feb 2007).When was the CDA-9881 release? And well comparing the specs between an 81 and 83 there is no diffrence really just $20 differences. I've also noticed that most budget alpines are pretty much the same as well.

 

i'd like to hear a reply to this also...i'm looking at the cda-9885 (i think) because of the 4v preouts and the three line screen. it's sooo expensive compared to the other alpine models though

 

the newer alpine decks should be available any time now (authorized dealers are awaiting shipping for march), aside from the 9887, W205 and i think thats it... those won't be out until the summertime.

 

i know the 9881 are out. as bestbuy stocks them and everywhere else. I'm looking for to get the 9883, simply because i got a $200 credit and i want that =P specs are the same to the 9881 pretty much but i dunno i just rather get 9883. I called around local shops none have them but are expecting. apline stated feb. but it looks more like march-april.
