Need help: DC/AC power for HU

Hi, I have an in-dash Boss DVD9500B flip out tv and I'd like to use my house's AC power to power it up. My HU doesn't flip out anymore =( and I'm hoping to somehow fix it by opening it up and maybe change the motor and fix a clog =X. So I was wondering if I can just hook up 12-volt AC power to the HU to turn it on. Thanks!

No, don't hook up 12V Ac to it. You can get a AC/DC converter. Or if you have or can borrow one of those battery packs to jump your car you can use that.
