2k2 Max audio need help
Today I set out to add dynamat to the front speakers. When I removed the door panels, I found that the speaker were aftermarket. Polk 6.5" model xd6510 (4 ohm), and it had a dxSeries Component Crossover that connected to an aftermarket tweeters. I bought my car used and it had the bose h/u with the rear deck subwoofer + amplifier.
Why do the speakers work with a system that was originally bose?
I've had the car for about 8 months now and the speakers haven't had any problems.
Does this mean the speakers have already been rewired...bypassing the bose amplifier?
Or maybe the component crossovers allow compatability?
Also, the FL=blue/white wire FR= brown/white.

If the speaker are in alreayd all you have to do is run wires from the new amp to the polks. Seems like they wired them up to the bose amp... if it sounds good to you why change it? If you're looking to upgrade def throw an amp in there maybe some better comps too.

Have any suggestions with comp choices at midrange prices (<$250/pair)?
Also I might have the trim rings for the speakers so you don't have to buy them....they're a little ghetto but they do the job. I don't have the fine tools that mr. Craftsman ***** DON has.
