What is an ignition kill? The alarm I want to get has that as a feature. Once again I'm sorry for the dumb question.

if someone breaks into your car (alarm goes off), it kills the ignition so the car cannot be started.

wire is opened with a relay.

Here's another st00p1d question: Do you usually tip the people that install the alarm? I'm taking it to a car audio shop.
