i'll sell you my slightly used set for $200 + shipping
Rainbow SLC components are also VERY good for the $$. Not sure what the going rate on them are (in the 200-300) range...
If you search threads about the rainbows you'll see a lot of good comments about them.

I just installed D661S components in the front and D661I integrated in the rear doors. You didn't say whether you'll be adding aftermarket amps for you setup, but I assume you will. I happen to like the Diamond Audio D6 line a lot for all kinds of music, but you will need a good amp because Diamond Audio speakers like a lot of power. I have not recently used any other high end aftermarket speakers, so I can't comment on others, but the Diamond Audio's are great. You will run into problems with installation because the speakers are over-sized and there is not currently any retail adapters to make them fit(at least I couldn't find any online or locally). You will need custom adapters. My car had the Bose system, and the adapters for the Bose speakers are useless for aftermarket 6.5's. I was able to make a 1" thick adapter and 3/4" thick adapter out of MDF that worked for the setup.

Yesss the DLS UP6 from burnurass those would be much better than the Diamonds. They're even better than the SLCs in that their highs are more crisp! Awesome price too, the UP6's are going for $260 on ebay.
