I am installing a pioneer cd player and infinity components. I need to know which wires are positive and negative that go into the amp because im using those input wire to go into my crossover. I think the inputs are purple and yellow is that correct? now which is pos. and neg.?

Is it bad if I switch those up on my crossovers or speakers? what does it do?

 

Just make sure you put them in the same way on each crossover, so if the phase IS reversed, it doesn't matter since both will be that way.
