Alpine HU problem?
Since installing this HU a week or so ago, it has been working great. My g/f drove it the other day and said when she tried to turn the sub down, that the sub- volume control did not make any difference. I told her she didn't know whatdafuk she was doing and to not touch my stereo...
Well, I got in today, popped in a cd, bass was a little boomy, so I try to adjust the sub volume- it does nothing. It was working when I first put in the HU and up until a day or so ago, it has been fine
Also, my rear speakers are powered off the rear speaker wires from the HU, but either with the DEFEAT on or off in the HU, they do not come on.?.? Anyone got any ideas?
I know everything is wired right, as it worked for a few days, and to my knowledge, nothing has been changed as far as settings on the HU, and I know for a fact that nothing on either of the amps, or the processor has been messed with.
Head unit is an Alpine CDA-9831, the sub pre-outs from it go into the sub pre-ins on the Precision Power DCX-730, and the sub pre-outs on it go to the mono amp pushing the 2 12's. The front stage pre-outs from the HU go into the front stage pre-ins of the DCX, which in turn run to the 2ch. amp for the front speakers. The rears are currently being power off the rear speaker leads from the HU, but I had the DEFEAT on the HU to shut off the internal amp in it, and send a flat signal to my processor.

try taking the rcas off the sig processor and hooking them straight to the amp?
Oh, and the defeat option only takes away all your eq. something else is going on there... make sure your power IC option is turned on.

Yea, that was my next plan of attack, but I haven't been motivated enough to get back in my trunck yet. I just don't understand how it could work then and not work now.
Something has to have changed...
