Would sub would be better sounding ? Diamond D6, Fi Q, SoundSplinter RLi, Tc Sound?

Im looking into new subs. from your experience which of these is better for Hip Hop in a 5th gen, I have a polk audio 500.1 mono block, it has terminals for two subs 500 watts each at 2 ohm. (is there a way to wire for one sub at higher than 500 watts btw? i've always wanted to ask)

anyways these are what i've been looking at here and there
1 Diamond Audio D6 15" (trade offer)
http://www.diamondaudio.com/content/view/130/144/
2 Diamond Audio D6 12" (trade offer)
http://www.diamondaudio.com/content/view/129/143/
1 Fi Q 10" maybe 12"
i cant find a web site for them, only forums....
1 SoundSplinter RLi 10"
http://www.soundsplinter.com/rli10_s...formation.html
1 TC-Sound-7 10" (trade offer)
http://tcsounds.com/tc7.htm

Or any other you would suggest under 150

im prob all over with the type of sub, sorry!

i dunno what other info would be good, i plan on going sealed, maybe ported if i get the soundsplinter, like AscendantMax's setup. so yeah any help would be great, thanks!

for straight up SPL in rap music the more cone area the better...make a ported box and 1 15 will be more than enough.

but will it also hit mid bass? Ill throw some linkin park or rock in at times....but i had 2 12" Kappa perfects way back when in a sealed box and i could only get either deeeeep bass or really vibrating bass. im looking something for a daily driver, and i dont want a heavy box, will be making it out of birch wood as well.

Haha I love the Birch idea..and yes I take full credit for the orgers on here using birch. Mid-bass=front speakers. But if you want high SPL at 70-80hz tune at like 40hz, or put a sub in a small sealed box. There are compromises in car audio, and getting extremely loud low end, and extremely loud high end is one of them.

the RL-i is more geared towards SQ imo. if you're looking for loud bass, this sub isn't ideal.

you can try the RLp...i love the output on mine.

i say if you want to conserve some trunk space, just go with a single ported rl-p 12. something along the lines of 2.0 tuned to 35 hz or so.

lol, i'd love to, but that would lead to me buying a different amp because mine would suck driving those kinds of subs I have a list full of stuff i need to buy to make my car feel good again...... so trying to keep this one minimal....

btw is there a way to hook up one sub with the amp that i have so that i could power more than 500 watts? it has sub 1 and sub 2 outputs. just wondering.

yep, everyone wins. Parag will finally have a buyer, Maxima112 will have a badass sub, and Don will get some business from Parag.

what model amp do you have?

It is most likely 500w when it is bridged... so you can only run one [set] of subs

You could run plenty of subs off the 500w, doesn't matter what the amp puts out.

Hell I could run 8 subs off one channel of my 2500xxk if I wanted to.

Looks tempting, but with the trade for the 15" I dont loose money. maybe like 40 bucks for the shipping.

its the Polk Audio 500.1 Mono Block Amp.
http://www.polkaudio.com/caraudio/products/c500_1/

the manual doesn't say the watt ouput in the different wiring, that's the main reason i asked.

It's a mono amp the most you'll get (with the right sub) is 500wrms.

You know you want the TC-7...hehe...BTW does your amp do power at 2 ohms? If so then you need to look for a dual 4 or dual 1 VC sub...which includes mine

i tried it sealed, it didnt output enough for hip hop, (comparing to 2 12's before) . also i dont want to build a box for them and have it not be enough bass and waste wood/time i only have time to make it once, I dont have a garage so yeah. i know what a 12 sounds like in a sealed 1 infinity kappa perfect. so it could only sound better.

with tat amp, it is only 2 ohm stable, easy nstallation, but you need to watch ohm load, you need 2 single 4 ohm or sngle dual 4, or 2 dual 2 ohm subs, and with that power, run a ported box, need less power....
