Temperature is weird after I install stereo

I never really looked at the temp before so I don't know if this is a new problem. I swapped out my Nav unit for a auto climate control unit and aftermarket HU. Yesterday I noticed that the really get the AC kicking I had to put it on 60, 61 was no where near as cold. I pushed the AMB button and it says it was like 59 degrees. I look at the readout on the dash and it says it's like 53. Then later that night after it cooled down to about 70 degrees out it said it was 39 out and had the word ICY on it. Oh yeah it's an 02 SE also. Anybody ever heard of this. The only issue I kinda saw on the wiring was the 01 Auto Climate I used didn't have two wires that the 02 did. One going to a ground and one going to a "board computer" Other than that everything seems to work. Maybe the ambient sensor is just jacked? anyway to check it?

Seems like an issue with your ambient thermometer, or the wires attached to it. Yet another reason swapping from Auto to Manual or Navi to Auto/Manual sucks and is not worth it.

My first step would be to get the 02 auto climate control.
