back speakers vs front

so after the advice given to me by don, and other ORG members i have decided to go with components in the front and leave my bose speakers in the back. my question is, are the front speakers identical to the rears? or are the fronts/rears supperior to one another? i like the bass in my car now, its just the distortion of the higher frequencies that gets me, so the way i see it if i get components in the front ill have plenty of distortion free music, and with the bose in the rear still keep some of the bass i had before. am i completely wrong?

They are the same crap. Either way the bose from front to rear is not interchangeable.

I'm running this setup now, and I think that if you're going to bypass the bose, get rid of ALL of it. The stock bose rear speakers in my car sound muddy, and that poor sound takes away from how good the aftermarket front components sound. Just take out the rears, or get some matching coaxial's to match your components (if you must)

i have decided to go with some polk components, still dont know what ill do with the rear, probably just disconnect them for now. i know this is off topic but is it possible to mount the new tweeters in the same location as my old ones in my 95 max? or will i have to custom mount them somewhere else?
