Need Some Speaker and Amp Advice
I have Clarion DXZ665MP HU with Clarion SRR speakers all around. I have a 10' MTX Square Ported enclosure with 10' pyle sub and soundstorm 850w mono amp. Would it be worth while upgrade to go to a better mono amp or a 2ch and bridge them? My pyle sub died so pyle is sending me another one and I think my amp kills subs this is the 3rd sub in 2 yrs. I am also thinking of upgrading my speakers to maybe boston acoustics / infinity kappa / mb quart / rockford fosgate / or diamond audio. What is everyone’s opinion on these brands?
Boston is going to be the best choice of those, but upgrading your mids and highs is the last thing you should be looking at right now. First, a sub upgrade is NECESSARY. Then, amp your mids/highs. Then upgrade your sub amp.

Agreed. Buy crap products and youll get crap results. Not trying to be harsh on you, but everyone has to learn at some point. Im honestly Very surprised that sub has only blown 3 times in 2 years..

I'm an mb quart fan but you really need to go to a shop that has these brands and take your favorite cd and see which ones sound the best to YOU. As far as subs, I'd probably go with any of the brands you listed but make sure the threshold is way above that of your amp. And seeing as you blew that 10 you might want to think about going with 2 10s or 2 12s. Being it is a soundstorm amp its probably killing your subs with distortion. Upgrade that bad boy.
