Please Help!! Can I Run My Tv Without Car Being On

I just installed a ps2 and a tv flip down monitor. I wanted to know if there was anyway to have my stereo and tv working without having the car on . I do not want my battery to die, so i just leave the car on....that ends up being a lot of $$$$ because of gas prices. Wanted to know if there is anything i could do to have everything running without killing the battery. Maybe getting a capacitor, or something like that...

Any help would be appreciated....

forget about the capacitor...

there's no way around leaving the car running, the battery will last you only so long...

leave the ps2 home and play it on a TV like normal people, imo :P

Get a Optima yellow top battery. If you just use those components it will last you atleast 2 hours w/o the car running.

Roman hit it on the nose.

Additionally, if you are running a power inverter for the PS2, they can only supply enough voltage when the engine is on anyway because they drain batteries REAL quick.

A flip out on its own can actually run pretty long.

If a dome light thats left on can kill a battery by itself within a relative period of time, what do you think a screen and keeping a disc spinning is going to do?

You pretty much just gotta live with it. but if you have to, leave it on ACC, not Ignition.
