6th Gen Custom Speaker box/enclosure

I am in the early stages of planning an audio upgrade, and would love to be able to purchase a ready-to-go enclosure for a single 12" subwoofer that was designed to fit into the trunk of th 6th Gen Maxima. Even if I need to cut the hole myself, that would be fine. I'm more concerned about the fitment into the trunk.

If anyone knows where I can get such a thing I would appreciate some info!

What type of sub are you planning to purchase?

I know that different 12" subs are different sizes, so I was hoping to find something that would work with a few different options and delay that decision until I start buying components.

However, it is very likely that it will either be a JL Audio or MB Quart 12"

If you're running a single sub, you will not have problems with space in the 6th gen trunk. Also, what are you really looking for? When you say "ready-to-go enclosure", do you mean a prefabricated box with the sub already housed in it, or are you looking for just the box. Most companies give you specs to build the boxes for their woofers. If you're in FLA, you should be able to find Audio shops in that area that could build you a box.

Try these for the specs:
www.jlaudio.com
or

www.mbquart.com

just be careful with those 'ready to go' enclosures. some are made from low quality particle board. it shouldn't be any problem fitting in a 12" sub box with our large trunks.

Thanks for the tips. To be clear, I don't just want a nice quality square box, I will be buying one that is custom built to fit neatly into the Maxima trunk. Perhaps into the spare tire well.

I am thinking that I will have to have the shop build something on-site, but I thought if any Max enthusiasts knew of a place that sold boxes fit to our trunks that would be a bonus and save time, perhaps save $$ also.

well...there's an ebay store that sells these boxes that fits in between our wheel wells. i think they're called Zen Enclosures. it's just a basic mdf box with a front beauty plate.

I'd like to see some more input, but I guess for now there just isn't anything on the marketplace. I will ask the shop when I get in touch with them about doing something like this. I'd just prefer if it could all get done in a day, but if I gotta make a couple of visits thats cool.
