Wire Crimpers

Anyone know where I can get a decent set of wire crimpers? I have these:

But they can't even make a dent in these thick 0 gauge terminals I have.. or maybe I need to get more steroids. Home Depot's site doesn't seem to have anything that I need. thx for any help

That's because those crimpers you have can only handle 10 gauge!

Real 0/1 gauge crimpers are close to/over $100. See if Autozone has some as a rental? Harbor Freight tools? Good luck

on the hammer crimper it's worked pretty good for me.

And go replace that hand cramp waiting to happen with some cushion grip ones from Craftsman, your hands will thank you.

I have those for half the cost at my local hardware store. One of the best tools I ever bought

hammer+concrete works the best from what I have seen, and a lot less effort than plyers or any crimper. The electric crimpers arent bad but they take to much time.

This gets a HUGE +1. Got the idea from Don and never looked back. Couple them with a GOOD set of klein strippers and you've got an unbeatable combo.

Thanks guys, lady at Home Depot recommended a C-clamp:

It worked great, albeit it took a little elbow grease but it's the cheapest solution. $_$

Meh, I've had the same pair forever too. For me they're a pain vs ones with a decent (and wider) handle. I'll agree with the Klein> Craftsman but $ goes hand in hand with that argument.
