Keep plug on, even when car is off?

Hey everyone,
I'm doing this little project in my trunk and I need an outlet in my car to stay on even when the key is off. See, i'm hooking up some custom lights in there and it's all ready to go - I have them only turn on when the trunk is popped - except it only works when the car is on, because the outlet im drawing power from gets it only when the key is turned. Anyone know how to rig it up to be on 24/7 ?

Thanks in advance.

Give the outlet a constant source.

I think that's what he's asking where in the trunk has a constant source. The only thing I can think of would be the CD changer on certain years that had them in the trunk. Worse case you'll have to run a wire from somewhere else. What stuff are you doing anyway?

Isn't there a trunk light already in there? You could have used that because it should comeo n even with the car off.
