SQ and square subs do not really mesh but...I've heard they sound good ported. If you have to go sealed I'd say the bigger the better because I'm sure these subs are geared to make 40hz and up bass only.

L7 does not = really good sq in any enclosure. That sub is pretty much limited in what it can do, what you really need to do is figure out what's suited best for YOUR taste and needs. A sealed box MAY sound good to you, but these square's vs the old rounds in small sealed boxes are a totally different story.

I'm not sure about sq out of an L7, but in a small enclosure I guess it can be done. If you already purchased it, small and sealed should be fine. 1cubic foot might be too small though, go with 1.5 as your minimum. But if you haven't purchased it and you like Kicker, try the 15" CVX, same motor, vc's, etc.....just round. 1000-1250RMS should be fine as well.

all depends on budget...I just realized how small you want to go...no less than 2.0 cubes please for most all 15's in car. I run 2.6 but I enjoy tasty lowend with my sub.

Round Solos were the ****...

They dont sound THAT bad, if you listen to a lot of rock it probably isnt for you...better options out there. But for rap and street beater, the L7 is fun as hell...

well im aiming for 1k for sub and amp. (thats one paycheck) but if i need to go over i can. just trying to aim 50/50 on amp and sub. (means im ganna probably have to do internet, or hope one of you guys have a good deal) my music mix is a good mix, rap, rock, techno, and a lot of county. but when im listening to country i usally turn my current id12 in a 1.33sq box down (great sq but crap for spl) so if you guys have a better idea than the crv 15. shoot away.

15" Fi Q. $279 shipped. The rest can got toward your amp. You should be able to get an amp and all of the wires and fuses you will need with the cash you have left.

You will need to up your internal volume for a 15 too. 2.0-2.6 sealed. Anything smaller and you will be choking out the sub. The Q will also love 1000 watts all day long.

putting any $ into a GF's ride is the worst investment out there..way to save $ and put her on the corner.

If I had money I would buy you both a Q and send it too you.

For testing purposes of coarse.

Not saying the MX wouldn't do the trick though.
