I have a 97 Max GXE with the stock HU with speakers.
And I want to replace it with the 99 Max GLE Tape/CD/BOSE HU with it's stocked BOSE speakers.
Is this possible? I need suggestions, help, and anything else to help me to install.

It sounds like you have been unlucky. My bose stereo in my Max and I30 have worked great except for when I shorted one of the speakers out by acident.

To answer the original question, it can be done but I am not sure how the head unit hooks up to your GXE wires. You will probably need a bose wireing harness and you will have to do some sodering. If anyone else knows how this is done I whould like to know too.

It's not worth it. You have to get all of the Bose speakers, amps, harnesses and so forth. I think the Bose speakers are actually smaller

Too bad that I've already bought 99' GLE BOSE HU with 4 speakers for 150 bucks.

Can you tell me what kind of amps and wire harnesses that I need to buy?

$150 is a great buy! You will need the amps from the bose speakers, the amps are connected to the rear speakers but the front door amps are seperate. I am not sure how to get a wiring harness though? Maybe Ni$$an can help you there or maybe a junk yard?
