I recently purchased an avistart 6000 off of ebay. However after I got it, a few people were telling me that the avital alarms tend to have starter problems. Has anyone heard about or had any problems with these alarms and if so what? I would like to know before I spend more money getting it installed. Also, what is a good price for installing a alarm/remote starter in the chicagoland area and where?

Thanks in advance....

I currently sell them where I work with no problems at all. The Avital brand is a sister company of Clifford/DEI. I would take it to a place that sells the Avital brand since they have schematics on that alarm. You said you live in the Chicago area...We have stores in that area, used to be called United Audio. Now it's called Tweeter. Give them a call for a price on install.
