MaineI30 Audio Surgery Began Today!!
#1
I posted this in General Maxima and realized I should put it here too.
Welp I brought the car in first thing in the morning today. The audio dudes will have it for at least three full days. Here's what they're doing:
Two new head units. One is the Alpine CDA-7977:

The other, of course, is for my MP3 collection -- the new fully digital RioCar with 60GB in-dash:

Two pair of JL Audio XR650CX speakers:

The speakers powered by a 4-channel n MTX Audio Thunder amp:

A JL Audio 10" woofer:

A JL Audio 250/1 amp to run the woofer:
http://www.jlaudio.com/amps/2501.html
Also connecting my CHA-S624 Alpine CD-Changer to the new system.
They're building a (hopefully very nice -- we talked about it a lot) custom dash piece to make the area around the head units look stock (this will be my FOURTH custom dash piece.)
Also they are doing nearly the entire car with Dynamat Extreme.
And, of course, last but not least, some custom trunk work for the woofer enclosure and amp rack.
I can't WAIT to get it back!!!

anyway, I have question. Do your steering wheel controls still work after you've installed these units?
