Polyethylene speaker rings...

Just testing waters on who would be up for these. This would be for mounting your aftermarket drivers as opposed to MDF rings. Solid core, CNC machined.

I realize that the type of speaker would vary this answer, but will the woofer part of the speaker rattle against the door with rings like this installed?

Pardon the n00b question, but are these rings to isolate vs. vibration or just for mounting depth? I've never used rings myself, but if it will help sound quality, I'd be interested.

A bit of both, but moreso for the mounting. How are your drivers mounted now if not with rings?

Well, it looks like the shop that installed them (7 or so years ago) just put them in the factory spots without any spacer, other than what was stock.
