Need Help ..Tweeter Popping?

Need Help ..Tweeter Popping?

This morning my tweeters starting popping when i turned my music almost all the way up, for example 57/62 and varying from different songs. I noticed it was in the 5hz so i tried buying some new tweets and replacing them. Still getting the same pop, so it's not the tweeters, it's happening if i use rather a cd or my Mp3 Flash drive on my HU . If i turn 5k all the way down on the Eq then of course the noise goes away but so does my music. Any Ideas? Cant be the tweeters, i tried 3 different sets. All new.

57/62 is too high...re-adjust your gains because that Pioneer radio is clipping its signal...have your max volume set around 43-46.

I'm guessing you mean 5000hz but either way they ^ are correct.

even though i dont have an amp running the interior's ? I was having no problem for awhile. i have an aftermarket HU. Max volume is 62 ...sayin i shouldnt put it past 46? ...that sounds odd....

your guessing correct sir, lol...but for real, i shouldnt set my volume past 46 even though my Hu goes to 62? hell i cant even go past 55???? ...i dont have an amp on the interior speakers...keep in mind, only my subs

You don't want to go that high on the volume because it causes distortion. Just like you don't want to go beyond 3/4 gain on amp because it usually causes distortion unless your signal is just that weak.

mmm..cool i guess..guess i'll have to keep it low, argh...that still doesnt solve the problem though, this wasnt happening at all before..and now it is, which means a problem exists, any idea of what it could be ?

You have caused this problem over time by doing what you shouldnt be to begin with.

If your car is capable of doing 140mph does that mean you should do it regularly? How long do you think the engine will like you?

didnt know it was that needed..im slowly but surely getting up on my audio game...question...can a mono amp run 2 sub's? ...to me it's an obvious no..but i want your inputs as to if it's possible

You can run as many subs as you want off a mono amp as long as the final ohm load is fine for the amp, and as long as you have the subs wired properly.

Don't do anything until you find a decent amp for the interiors...most significant audio upgrade I did (4 years ago).

Thanks for all the info guys. I'll get an amp. I went to bestbuy and got my HU replaced already,and bought an amp, hooking it up later.

4 channel amp? Best buy?!?! How much did you spend? Why not make the 10 minute drive to Don's house and get a better amp from him?
