The rubber/plastic dash liner around one side of the vent/radio console has come loose from the metal, beneath it (probably from prying on the vent cover incorrectly the first time I removed it to replace the HU). This is causing the liner material to stick up about 1/4 inch above the face-plate around the vent.

Can anyone recommend a two-sided tape or adhesive to re-seat this? Keep in mind, that this car is in southeast Texas heat/sun.

3M double sided tape?

 

You think it will hold? My first try would be 3M, but was hoping someone had experience with how strong it holds

 

Yeah that 3M tape is really good

 

it should hold well. it's helping hold my two HID ballasts in place. and if anything...the heat we got down here will make the stuff even more sticky.
