dissapointed...JBL 12oo Watt amp blows

damn, i hooked them up to my 2 l5s and the response was horrible. My interior speakers hit harder bass than the woofers did. I thought something was wired wrong so we tested my boys 2 alpine 650. .and they blew that JBL out the water by 100 miles. so, i'ma cop two of those alpines and finish my system, but JBL amps are horrible (if your running big subs)

That isn't the impression I had with my JBL 1200... I had it running two JL 15W3s and it was insane. Awesome SPL and very good SQ. Are you sure there's nothing wrong with the amp? If so, perhaps it would be better matched with a different set of subs?

This would lead me to believe that the woofers were probably wired out of phase. Recheck your connections between your amplifier and your subs, something is definately wired wrong.

perhaps the wiring is bad to the woofers, or you may need to learn how to tune an amp ? The amp does 1200 rms @ 1 and 2 ohms... I would check the final impediance on the box.

you did something wrong..a 1200w JBL amp should definitely make your subs sound better than your interiors.
