2 steels.

on a related note can an amp be run out of its case? i was thinking of doing all raw circuit boards under plexi (proper cooling of course). i think it would look kinda cool since i plan on running my carputer caseless now, plus some other electronics.

I have seen this done at shows, the system was not daily though, not that this has anything to do with the outcome. I thought it looked sick!

Doh I forgot, I got so used to selling them in threes. LoL

Absolutely, provided adequate cooling and protection are provided.

The car:

the sub that was to be installed...a 12w7. turned out it was blown. we pushed down on the cone and it was super stiff, and made a god-aweful sound from the coil rubbing in the gap. i tested the coil with my dmm and it didn't give a reading. so what that guy had was a 35 pound paperweight.

my friend who helped me with running the RCA's sharing his feelings about the install.

I have a tip for you. Gather your stuff and drive about 3 hours East, get a nice hotel for the night, go home the next day.

I have been keeping a close eye on that sucker as well. Looks like it could get even more mean.

Gah... It was harder than I thought. Oh well. On to bigger and better things. I got half the wires run for the patio speakers as well as the volume control installed. Maybe Sunday I will be able to get the wires run to the receiver and the speakers hung. It will be perfect grilling weather soon enough.
