Upgrade to Bose 2000 GXE

I'm sure someone else has asked so excuse me if it is redundant. Can this be done/ How much would it cost?
Would it make better sense just to add bigger speakers in the rear deck. The stock units in the rear doors are anemic with no bottom end. I have the premium set up that comes with the GXE convenience package.

Are you asking if you should upgrade from what you have TO Bose or are you asking if you should upgrade your existing Bose system?

I am currently in the process of upgrading the really crapy system that came in my 96 Maxima GXE (15 watt speakers, tape player) to a Bose from the same model of Maxima....
First things first... unless you are getting a REALLY good deal on a Bose from someone that is taking it out of theirs then I would not do it. Also, be sure if you do upgrade to get the speakers and all... don't just try to get a head or unit alone or the speakers alone. Also, I have heard that if you have the premium Non-Bose package that there is really not enough difference to do the upgrade.
If you are going to be paying a lot for the Bose then you would end up with a better system by just spending the same money on a great aftermarket system.
The only reason I am doing it is becuase I got a really good deal on the the Bose, but I am having to rewire the whole speaker system and run new wires for the amps that are attached to each of the Bose speakers.
Well, this is just $0.02 from someone who is in the middle of doing exactly what you are asking about.
Good luck
