What are your opinions on the Infinity Perfect subs?

Perfects

I have installed severals of them. They are clean and hard-hitting. I attempted to buy them at one point but Infinity wasn't very helpful, so I went with the aluminum Eclipse subs. The Perfects are def. great subs though, very clean.

I have heard its best to power the Perfects with about 4-600W of power so I would look for one in around that range.

If you are going to put that much true power into the sub, make sure the amp is a good one. If the subwoofer is fed clean power, it should be able to hold. If its 4-600 watts of cheap-*** jensen power, it'll probubly powered. (Mind you im speaking in terms of RMS not max power)

Also VERY important. You must break in the sub for 8 hours of light use, before you crank the bass. This allows the stiffining to go down

Yeah I have read a few reviews of the Perfects in which people blew them when they first tried them out because they didnt break em in.

I just put them in this girls car!

We just put in a 12inch Kappa Perfect 12.1 in a Qlogic box with a bridged 250a2 amp! The thing sounds sweet! Very clean and hits hard! If you are doing a 1 amp 1 sub this is the way i'd go! Or 2 12.1's would sound great and hit like a _____ So i'd say yes they are great subs! and if u get the newer Rockford Amps they come with a seperate "remote" for controlling bass output! I've heard though that R.F doesn't have the greatest crossover...but u decide

I was thinking of adding 2 12" Perfects powered by either the MTX 81000D or RF bd1000.1 amp to power both. Can the sub be heard very well outside of the trunk?

Bass in trunk

The bass in my trunk stays in the trunk for the most part. My trunk is totally Dynamatted, vibration is minimized. With windows up and trunk closed the system really isn't that loud outside and I have a pretty good amount of power running in my car.

I do think that either of those amps would be very well suited for those subs. Last time I checked each 12" sub was rated at 350 wrms. But in my opinion I would rather have an amp that I need to turn down a little if necesary than an amp that I have to put ot its limits, which often results in distortion and poorer overall sound quality.

So the dynmat reduces rattles very well? I dont want much rattle but would like to be able to hear the subs outside of the car. I have an urge to roll up into school blazzing my system so i can **** my principal off. Ever since she recomended me to the army recruiters I cant stand that woman, but thats another story.

Got Kappa Perfect 10's. They're nice, very comparable to a lot of 12's I've heard. Everybody else at work are JL Fiends and they won't admit my subs are louder than theirs are, but I've beaten out some 12W3's with my 2 10's.

Cool I should be getting 2 12" Perfects in the next month. I have heard many good things about them and have decided to go with the perfects.

Good Choice

The Perfect's in my opinion give excellent sound quality. I think you will be very happy with them.
