Please give me some help. I am deciding on 2 H/U's and am unsure wich one to get. I can get either the Alpine CVA-1005 w the dva 5205 for 1220 or I can get the IVA-C800 for like about the same price. I am going to add Navi to my system at a later date but not right now. I just really wanted to know are there really any big differences between the IVA-C800 and the CVA-1005 besides the fact that the IVA has the CD built in. Thanks for any help. BTW if it helps I will be getting Compnent Speakers and a JL Audio Stealthbox.

Well if your're anything like me, then you want the most up-to-date item. In this case the CVA-1005 is a discontined item in favor for the CVA-1006. Which is essentially the same thing. The IVA-C800, however, is supposed to have more features in development. Many people like the onboard graphics better on the IVA as opposed to the CVA. Other than that, the CD player is the only difference. IMHO, I don't see the reason to have two CD players in the dash. (CD & DVD)

In that Case I will get the IVA and the DVA even though its repition cd, cd-dvd I have a lot of CDR's that I play now in the bose so that function is a must. Hopefully I will be looking at about 2000 for the IVA and the Dva 5205 together might go with the 5200 its a little cheaper but I heard there are some real annoying things that happen with that model.

if you don't mind me asking;
how much are you paying for the iva-c800? the cva-1005 goes for 999.99 at good guys, and i remember the iva c800 costing alot more.. i waited quite a while for tthat deck, but then decided it wasn't worth it for the price for just another cd slot. but if you can get it at the price of the cva 1005 then i say go for it, you got some great deal. as far as speakers. mbquarts, or bostons are great. but if you want more room for upgrade, i say stick with the stock bose for a while until you grow tired of them. i've had my alpine hooked up to the bose for a long long time, and i finally got new speakers and amps.. by the way i have the cva1005

I will be getting hte Iva and the DVA for around 2100 the IVA costs like 1200 and the DVA for 800. Brand new w/warranties. The only reason I am going with the double cds combo is that I want the DVD and the DVA dosent play CDRs witch I ahve a bunch of. If the DVA played DCR's then I would of gone with the 1005 or 1006. The only reason I asked about speakers is that my Passenger side Bose speaker blew (I think it seperated from the outer ring) had this happen in my old car and it sounds the same way. So instead of dropping a bunch of money on 1 new bose speaker I might as well get rid of it and replace the whole thing.

Alpine IVA-c800
Alpine DVA-5205
JL Stealth Box
(unknown amp of box)<----Help me out
Mb Quart or Boston Acoustic components
20% tint all around
and crimestopper 2005FM
...all comming soon
