Augie...Dynamat your entire trunk for the best application. Where do you live at? I manage a car audio shop in so cal and I deal in Dynamat. I sell a trunk kit that retails for $129.99 that will do your own trunk. Let me know if you are interested.

I'm starting to sound like an advertisment on all forums, but a very good product to get is RAMMmat. This is the better equivalent of Dynamat Xtreme. It's foilbacked and very sticky.

talk to Rick (ramm@raamaudio.com), and he'll give you a good deal (should be around $65 shipped) on 50 sq ft. If you make cacluations, it should result it over hundreds of percent of saves. Hope that helps.

BTW, I used 3 rolls on my car

On my Maxima stereo installation, I didn't go with Dynamat, but instead bought Extreme Deadener from someone on eBay. I got 100 sq. ft. for $150, which is incredibly cheap. I didn't even use 1/3 of what I bought, and I did two complete doors (the front) and the rear deck. It worked out really well!

I'll second that recomendation. IF you act quickly, there is a deal going on over on forum.elitecaraudio.com . If you sign up on the forum (free) You can get 50sq. ft for $55, plus shipping, as Turd said. great product, much cheaper than dynamat, and that stuff sticks lika bastard. Once applied, it won't come off without a fight.

That's for SURE. Don't get it stuck on anything because once you do get it off, it leaves a nasty brown stain. =)

Instead of Dynomat

I heard you can use some sort of hard foam instead of Dynomat. I forget what it's called but I heard it works even better and it's easier to install.

Augie, e-mail Rick, raam@raamaudio.com.

he'll usually reply, same day, and he's really COOL.

Me, Whitemax, and matz all used the same thing. We're in the RAAMmat club. Time for you to be in it.

And yes, it sticks on like a bastard. I got it stuck on the trunk lid (waay inside) and it was all messy in there. Let me tell you, it wasn't pretty for my hands, hehe.

Otherwise, it's some of the best stuff on earth!

Raam Mat is great. I have two rolls in my car as well. Mainly in the doors. Once you put it on, you will never take it off. It's that simple.
