I can't decide whether to buy a 5 channel amp or to buy a 4 channel amp and a 1 channel sub amp. Which setup do you think I should go for and why?

This is what I want to power with the new amp(s)
-1 JL Audio 12W0 125watt 8ohms
-4 Infinity Kappa Perfect 75watt 6.5" mids

I have the JL 250/1 running my single JL 10W3D6 subwoofer and kicks butt...go with this amp. The W0 series from JL Audio are pretty effecient and don't require alot of power to drive them.

You should get a 4- or 2-ohm sub. You won't get much power out of any amp with that 8-ohm sub.
